Assalamu Alaikum, I’m Hannan.
I’m the founder of Sakina & Co., a faith-centered women’s wellness practice created to serve Muslim women with compassion, dignity, and thoughtful care.
My journey into this work began through my own search for healing. In 2017, during a period of personal health challenges, a close friend introduced me to Hijama after returning from Madinah. The experience had a profound impact on me and sparked a deep desire to learn more about holistic approaches to wellness within our tradition.
I later trained in Hijama and began serving women in my community, eventually establishing what was then known as Hijama by Hannan. Through that work, I witnessed the many ways women seek support — not only for physical healing, but also during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery. This naturally led me to pursue training as a full-spectrum doula and expand my work to support women through these transformative seasons of life.
Today, Sakina & Co. reflects that evolving vision — a space where women can access thoughtful, culturally aligned care that respects both faith and modern healthcare.
My approach to care is grounded in three guiding principles: compassion, responsibility, and trust in Allah. While I value scientific knowledge and evidence-based practice, I also recognize that all healing ultimately comes from Him. My role is simply to serve as a means — offering skill, presence, and sincere care to the women who place their trust in this work.
I am deeply grateful to do this work while raising my five children with the support of my husband, whose encouragement has helped make this journey possible.
It would be an honor to support you during your own journey.
